After rubbing my nose alot, skin on upper nose feels slightly swollen (not noticeable by looking). Some tenderness, but bone feels stable. Nose broken?

It's: It's probably a good idea to have your nose examined by a doctor. If the nasal bones are broken you can have a procedure (closed nasal fracture reduction) to reduce the misallignment within the first 10-14 days of the injury.

Another thing you'd want to check on is that you don't have a blood clot within your septum. This would need to be addressed more urgently to make sure the blood collection doesn't get infected and cause permanent damage to your septal cartilage. ...Read more

Would I need surgery on a nondisplaced nasal fracture?

Nondisplaced nose fx: A non displaced fracture of the nose implies that the nose bones have not moved and hence the nose is still straight. If that is correct you do not need surgery on the nose. However, there have been times when the xrays did not show any fracture but the nose became crooked after trauma. In that case you need surgery. In essence its more to do with the shape of the nose and not the detail of xrays. ...Read more
