I get heartburn by pretty much eating anything, and drinking milk does not help is this a serious condition?

Acid reflux: Fat in milk increases acid secretion. Certain meds, fatty foods, caffeine, soda pop relax the ring muscle between the esophagus & stomach (supposed to tighten to keep acid contents in stomach). Alkaline foods, sodium bicarbonate, acid blockers (zantac (ranitidine) & others), acid pump blockers (prilosec, prevacid, & others) can reduce the acidity and help heal inflammation from reflux. ...Read more
