What to do if i was planning to get laser treatment for my acne scars. I was wondering if its good for u?
How to get rid of acne scars under $100. I have acne scars and have been trying to get rid of it so bad but i don't know what is good for a 15 year old boy! i looked up acid treatment and laser treatment but is unsure about which to pick.
Unfortunately : Unfortunately you will not be able to get rid of acne scars for that amount. The gold standard for acne scar improvement is fractional laser done multiple times - and that is usuallly between $500 to $800 per session. If your scars are merely dark areas, you should use a good sunblock all the time and try a few of the dark spot correctors (neutrogena is one) any over the counter treatment will only be minimally effective in correcting discoloration, but if a big issue is dark marks, anything that helps is a plus. Red marks will eventually resolve on their own if you don't "worry" the skin by picking or using abrasive scrubs. As for actual scarring that causes a shadow because of the depth, your only solution lies in a medical office. The big factor to control is your acne to prevent further scarring. If you are still breaking out, most dermatology visits will fall under insurance - as will the topical and oral medications. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers

Can applying loprox, (ciclopirox) micronazole or lotrimen on athletes foot make it go away and on nails after laser treatment make it go away for good?
Yes and no: To resolve a athlete's foot infection an anti-fungal cream should be use for a full month. Some patients are prone to reinfections and may use these products once a week preventatively. Doctors that use lasers to treat fungus of the nails often will suggest also using a topical product but I have not seen literature to prove that a combination improves the outcome. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
