Couple of reasons:: Horsetail contains some nicotine, which is not good for kid (or adults). Also, like other herbal supplements, there are no large studies showing risks and benefits in anyone, and none in kids. Lastly, herbal supplements are not regulated by the FDA and can be poor quality, contain contaminants, or other junk. Don't risk it.
