Acne in boys: There are different levels of treatment depending on the severity of acne. Over the counter "benzoyl peroxide" cream or lotion, and or an acne wash is a good first line. Use white linens as it can bleach clothing and linens. Depends: If your rheumatoid arthritis affects your fingers, then you may not be able to grab your parnter's gi (uniform) which is essential in judo. It also involves throwing your partner on their back, so if you have an arthritic back I would not recommend it either. I got a concussion the other day from hitting my head on the floor in Judo, and I'm getting hot flashes. Is this normal?
9yr old thin m. One rib seems to poke out more than the other. Is definitely bone, not tissue. Child does Judo. No pain. Should we be worried?
Address next visit: It is not unusual for a thin child to have some mild asymmetry and to see a little difference on one side compared to the other. I would have his pediatrician take a look at it. Also he should have a good exam for scoliosis, early scoliosis can sometimes cause an asymmetrical appearance of the rib cage as well.
