Is It True That Breast Implants Feel Like Rocks After 30 Years
No: Breast implants develop scar tissue around them within days after the initial augmentation surgery. When scarring unpredictably becomes severe, the breasts can become firm, malpositioned, misshapened, and even painful. This is called capsular contracture, and it doesn't necessarily happen in 30 years or even ever. But if it happens, another surgery would be required to correct the problem. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I had breast implants for 10 years
i would like them removed and fat replaced can anybody do this as mamagrane is not good at detecting cancer ?
Fat transfer: Fat transfer is an alternative to implants. First lipososuction is done to harvest the fat, then transferred to the breast. You my loose 40 to 60 % of the transferred fat and need further replacement. Dying fat will create calcifications and other artificats that show up on mammograms making it difficult to interpret. I have breast implants (silicone gel) for 10 years now and i feel something similar to air bubbles on both my breasts. Is there something to worry about?
Sometimes: This is not likely due to air bubbles, but may be a sign that the pocket around the implants is tightening. It may be something that can be safely ignored, but if it is bothering you, it can be fixed. If it is something to worry about, it can be brought to a quick resolution with a quick check-up with your plastic surgeon, or any board certified plastic surgeon in your area. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I had breast implants done 6 years ago and about 9 months ago my breast have become painful I have recently gained weight and i feel tightness in my chest can that mean a serious problem or is it just because of the weight gain?

This seems to resolve or improve with weight loss as little as 5 pounds. However, it is also important to remain in contact with your implanting surgeon, depending on the type of implant, MRI evaluation may be considered for silicone implants as well as possible evaluation for contracture. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I'm turning 18 soon and would like breast implants as a graduation present. I have been a 34a for 4 years now. Am i too young to get a boob job?
Surgery not a gift: I wouldn't down play the risks and consider this a present. Since you have given adequate time to assess your growth curve, it is now a reasonable time to discuss the alternatives and your long term plans and expectations with a board certified plastic surgeon. Silicone implants are recommended by the fda for patients 22 years or older. Be aware of the need for future surgeries as well. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
