Is It Safe To Use Wipes On A Newborn
Is the rocker chairs of fisher price safe for the back of my newborn? She is 42 days old and they say on the rocking chair suitable for kids from day one, is that true?
Should be fine: The fisher price rocker chair looks like it puts a baby in the same position as being in an infant car seat, which is fine. A brand new baby would slump over due to weak head control, but a 6wk old should be ok. The vibrations should be gentle and soothing. Parents should not leave a baby unattended in such a rocker chair, or other types of baby chairs. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Yes: Baby wipes are ok to use on newborns (hospitals use baby wipes). One should be sure to wipe gently to avoid abrading the skin. If a rash has developed, the parent should talk with the doctor to see if wipes should be stopped, and perhaps switch to tissue+water for cleaning. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
Yes: Pets and kids usually get along well. It's best to supervise the two as they interact so you can intervene if necessary (even a loving friendly dog may not realize how big he is and may hurt the baby accidentally). This also assumes your pet is a cat or dog; turtles which carry salmonella or some other exotic pets might be best kept away from your newborn. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Don't use them: Air scent "freshers" emit in vapor form the scent that you purchase. Many people including infants can develop allergies associated with these vapors. An alternative is to simply purchase some peppermint oil and put it on a cotton ball and put in the diaper changing area where the infant is but for a few minutes at a time. Family dinner on Sunday I have a newborn 4day old daughter is it safe to go or not? I'm worried about her getting sick...
Cold and flu season: I discourage new parents from taking their new babies out and about during cold and flu season. Use your best judgement. If there are going to be other kids at the family gathering then coughing and sniffles are likely going to be there too increasing the risk of your baby catching an infection. If you decide to go, carry hand sanitizer insist any body who want to hold the baby clean their hands. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
