Is It Safe To Take Two Multivitamins In One Day
Is it safe to take one a day women's multivitamin in the evening and a super b-complex in the morning? Or can I take them together?
Overdoing it: There seems to be a myth in human experience that 'more is better'. In medicine it is proven over and over and over again that in almost all instances more is dangerous, less effective and causes more problems. Taking two different vitamins is unnecessary and puts extra strain on your liver and such. I would advise picking one and sticking to it. ...Read more

Is it safe to take a one a day womens multivitamin along with a nature made stress b complex vitamin? I was told I could because the bs you would pee
Vitamins: I don't know what kind of multivitamin you're talking about -- different ones have different contents and fillers. As long as you are not sensitive to corn or other fillers in it, nature made stress b complex should be fine. Be sure to look at how much vit c is in your other vitamin, because your "b complex" has 500 mg in it also. You can get loose stools from more vit c than you can tolerate. ...Read more

Probably: Safe, probably, but why? If you are young and relatively healthy, you probably don't need any multivitamins at all. If you do feel the need to take one, ask your pharmacist for a complete multivitamin, and take one daily. Eat a variety of healthy minimally processed foods, drink plenty of water, and you should be fine in the absence of specific illness. ...Read more
Can we take multivitamins with 100 % RDA daily and one neuroboin tab with each multivitamin. Neuroboib has b6, b12 and b1.Is it safe to take both?
Unneccessary: B vitamins are all water-soluble, so excess is excreted in the urine. Therefore, it is generally safe to take extra B-vitamins, but there is no medical reason to do so, unless you have been diagnosed with a deficiency or are at risk of a deficiency due to certain medications or conditions. In general, try to get your nutrients from healthy foods. ...Read more

Yes, totally safe: There is a very wide safety margin in taking vitamins and minerals. Women's one a day has relatively low doses of most of its ingredients. It does have 450 mg of calcium carbonate, but this is a relatively poorly-absorbed form of calcium so additional calcium, esp. Better-absorbed forms like calcium citrate is advised. I also advise taking a total of 4-5000 units of vit. D for bone & overall health. ...Read more
Is it safe to lose weight by not eating if I take multi-vitamins? I am trying to lose weight. If I only don't eat, or only eat one meal a day, will I lose weight and still be healthy? Some people say I won't get enough nutrients, so I am taking multi-vita
It is not likely that you will have sustained weight loss just from fasting. This is because your body will interpret this as starvation and will "hold on for dear life" to the fat in your body to keep you going. Vitamins are not enough nutrition to prevent this problem. Eating only once a day probably also will not be effective. I have heard that sumo wrestlers actually make themselves gain weight by eating only twice a day, getting hungry between meals.
What happens specifically with eating very little (one of the ways the body adapts to calorie restriction) is that your thyroid metabolism changes, so that the T4 made by your thyroid gland converts to reverse T3 (liothyronine) instead of the active T3 (liothyronine) that your body needs to function. This is nature's way of protecting us from starvation. Anything your body interprets as "physiologic stress" will cause this phenomenon, including dieting, depression or illness. This is why an effective diet program must include enough total calories and balanced nutrition (complex carbohydrates, protein and fat) to give your body what it needs while inducing a fat-burning state. ...Read more
Hi doctor, I started to take women's multi vitamin from today. I want to take fish oil tablet as well. Is it safe to take two tablet together?
Yes: This is perfectly safe; each provides essential nutrients that the other doesn't. Some feel it may improve absorption if you don't take them at the exact same time out of concern that the oils and minerals will react to form a soap. I'm not sure if this is true but it might be wise to take the multivitamin with breakfast or lunch and the fish oil after dinner. Look for a fish oil that is purified. ...Read more

No and yes....: If you have a normal diet and eat a variety of foods, you probably do not need a multivitamin. However, it probably won't hurt you either (other than your wallet). Atenolol and multivitamins mix fine. Atenolol, however, is not the best beta-blocker. Talk to your doctor about metoprolol or nebivolol if you must have a beta-blocker. I took a one a day women multivitamin at 12 am last night and it is now 9:30pm. Is it okay if I take more than one within a 24 hours period?
Absoutely!: Your system will do everything to give the best to your newborn. If you are not getting enough of all the different vitamins in your diet, it will steal them out of your tissues and bones to get some for the baby. It is difficult to get everything you need at this point just from your diet, so a vitamin is a must so you don't long-term weaken your body and bones. Take to boost both you and baby! ...Read more

Yes but take extra..: A multivitamin can be very helpful for diabetes (& may help BP too) but most one-a-days are not potent enough. It's OK: You can't overdose on real B vitamins. But be careful with synthetic forms. The easiest way to tell is to look at the ingredient list of your supplements.
