Is It Safe To Take Psyllium While Pregnant
Psyllium husk powder (vitamin shoppe) safe during pregnancy? How many times in a day may I use this product? How many times a week?

Another great medication that functions in he exact same way (but tastes better) is miralax, (polyethylene glycol) or generic equivalent. Same idea, not absorbed, can take 1-2 times a day. Psyllium husk.: Psyllium husk is safe to use in the long term as a fiber and nutrient supplement. My concern with it is more the fact that it's easy. I'd rather you get the majority of your fiber from your regular meals and add Psyllium husk to oatmeal, salads and smoothies for example ...Read more

I do not recommend starting psyllium before the 6 weeks have elapsed and you are symptom free as you risk a more severe recurrence during those 6 weeks with possible complication of perforation, abscess or fistula development, all of which are emergencies. ...Read more
