Meds in Breast Milk: Yes, you can. Metronidazole is used to treat h. Pylori infection who has penicillin allergy. Lactation catogagory: l2, means safer. Drugs which has been used in a limited # of breastfeeding women without increase in adverse effect in the infant. E.G. The suppository form is not absorbed through your blood stream in the same way as the oral form, and is even safe enough to use during pregnancy.
