Just started on enalapril 5.0 mg (vasotec) it is an ACE inhibitor. I - is that a possible side effect if pregnant?
Yes: All ace inhibitors cause fetal abnormalities including cranial malformation and kidney problems in a large percentage of fetuses who are exposed although not 100%. It is absolutely critical you not take this medication while pregnant. A few doses early in pregnancy are less likely to be harmful. Keep tabs on BP: bupropion may elevate BP in some people, but this is usually not a problem. I assume you are on a sustained release preparation, and the development of elevated BP is far less common with extended-release forms of bupropion.
