Is It Safe To Take A Multivitamin With Zoloft
Drug interactions: It is usually best to take vitamins away from important or critical medications. Depending on the vitamin, it may contain agents that will bind the drug you are taking that is very improtant. I would doubt any serious adverse effect of a multiple vitamin with zoloft (sertraline) but would recommend taking the vitamin with a meal and away from your scheduled zoloft (sertraline). Same with many other medications. ...Read more

Yes, wise to do:
I recommend everyone take a multivitamin as very few people get adequate vitamin and mineral intake from their diet and drugs like sertraline may increase our need for certain vitamins. Fish oil provides essential fatty acids and have been shown to enhance effectiveness of anti-depressants. It is both safe and wise to take these supplements with sertraline.

There is not enough evidence to say whether it will help with anxiety. Ginseng interacts with lots of other medications. And may cause acute seritonin syndrome, a bad thing. So talk to your doc first! See:

Safe: Safe is such a relative term. Whenever taking multiple meds you run the risk of interactions or side effects. With that being said, realize that Effexor (venlafaxine) affects norepinephrine and seretonin, both of which are neurotransmitters associated with dep and anx; whereas, zoloft targets mainly seretonin. If prescribed both, attention needs to be paid to developing seretonin syndrome, which is an overload. ...Read more

Yes. But: Combining the 2 medications at the dose you mention should be safe but not necessary. Both medications are related (zoloft is an ssri and Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is an snri). They both work on serotonin but Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) also works on norepinephrine. Unless you are planning to eventually switch and this is part of that plan, it may be better to first maximize the dose of one. Zoloft can be safely increased to 200mg. ...Read more
Is it safe to take Zoloft (sertraline) and Inositol together, and what would be better to take with Zoloft (sertraline) L-theanine or inositol.
Inositol isn't: Readily absorbed, and is more a prebiotic. So, it can be taken anytime. Also, l-theanine is for issues related to post traumatic stress disorder, and as an amino acid would probably best taken alone by itself. I would take Zoloft (sertraline) once a day separately at the time your doctor recommended you take it. Not take it all together. ...Read more
I had taken 25 mg Zoloft (sertraline) last Wednesday and Thursday before stopping due to side effects. Is it safe to take my cyclobenzaprine now?
Serotonine: Today is Monday and while you still might have some SSRI effect, you were taking a low dose of Sertraline and it is quite unlikely you could experience a serotonergic syndrome if you really need to take cyclobenzaprine muscular problems. If there are more concerns contact your doctor. ...Read more

Relacore: I would not recommend using relacore even if you were not on zoloft (sertraline). Is it safe to take bentonite clay while on Zoloft (sertraline) if I take them several hours apart?
Bentonite clay: Bentonite clay binds many drugs in the intestine and therefore prevents the absorption of the drug. There will be less problem if they are several hours apart, but there is variability of intestinal movement, so the results are somewhat unpredictable....I.E. How much zoloft (sertraline) would actually be absorbed and how much bound by the clay. ...Read more
Is it safe to take generic from zoloft medication? Which is the best one? Does it come with risk of side effects?
As safe as the brand:
Sertraline, the generic form of Zoloft, is required by the FDA to be nearly equivalent in strength as the brand-name. The difference in generic and brand-name dose wise would be trivial as far as it's clinical effectiveness.
I think it would be safe to take and that the side effects would be identical to that of the brand-name. ...Read more
