Is It Safe To Play Sports When You Have A Ovarian Cyst
NO NO NO: Did u ask your doc?, no contact sports at all, and if the cyst is that big if it is not a simple fluid cyst it needs to come out and if it is a simple cyst, yours is very large and must be followed closely as if it does not resolve or u have any pain or worsening sharp pain u will need surgery so no intercourse either, and u need to be followed closely by your doc and minimal activity! ...Read more
It may be easier to exercise earlier in your pregnancy than during the last three months (third trimester) of pregnancy. Choosing safe exercises for you and your baby is important because some positions, as your weight and balance change, may become uncomfortable or have potentially harmful effects. After 20 weeks of pregnancy, you should not do exercises that require lying flat on your back, because this position may make ...Read more

Is the hCG diet safe? I bought drops but am scared of side effects. I have ovarian cysts and heard hCG can turn them cancerous? Is this true?
It's silly stuff: The 'hcg diet' is an 800-calorie severely restrictive diet and this is why you lose weight. The overpriced placebo that is tacked on will probably do nothing. Further, HCG does not turn ovarian cysts cancerous. Why not take the money and join a fitness club, make friends, and embark on a far happier and less fear-darkened life? Cheers. ...Read more
I'm pregnant and have complex ovarian cyst, was told I may have to remove it in case it's its cancerous. IS this safe for baby? Can it be cancer?
Avoid lots of soy: Sometimes functional cysts - which are cysts that resolve on their own - can take longer to resolve if a woman is taking estrogen. Soy is a plant estrogen, and it can cause irregular periods if a woman is taking a large amount daily. It may make a cyst take longer to resolve. ...Read more

What did your OB doc: Say, your OB doc should have explain that in detail to you already so call him or her today! I was just diagnosed with a normal 1.7cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary via ultra sound. Is it safe if it ruptures?
Sort of...: It can be very painful as the abdomen does not like any other fluid in it! Not blood (why a tiny amount of endometriosis is so painful), and not cyst fluid. Might be smart to talk to doc about emergency pain meds in case you have to come to the er. It also depends on the cyst-it could have just been a ruptured follicle. If you ever get severe low abdominal pain, go to er-let them know it's there. ...Read more
If I'm not on birth control, I get large painful ovarian cysts. My OBGYN says to stay on pill, but is that safe long term? Should I get a 2nd opinion?
Very safe: Birth control pills have lots of non-contraceptive benefits that are seldom discussed. They decrease the risk of anemia and non-cancerous breast lumps as well as the risk of uterine and ovarian cancer and are considered safe until age 35 even in smokers unless you have other risk factors. ...Read more
Diagnosed with 3cm complex ovarian cyst via ultrasound. Advised to wait 6 weeks to recheck. Safe to wait even with a family history of female cancers?
Probablyl: Depending on the appearance of the cyst, your doctor must have felt that it was safe. Not all female cancers are genetically related (so, for ex: if you family has a history of cervical cancer that does not increase the risk for ovarian cancer). The ova-1 test or ca-125 tests can help to see if your cyst is higher or lower risk to be a cancer. But there are lots of cysts that are not cancers. ...Read more
