Is it safe to have HSG test while I'm positive for GBS (Group B Strep)? The GBS doesn't go away! Dr says I'm a carrier, it sometimes caused UTI.

Does not matter: If you are beta strep + once u automatically get treated with antibiotics with your next labor, whether you are + or not because sometimes the culture can miss a + one so the rule is once you have been + then u get antibiotics anyway but u will still be tested no big deal. ...Read more
Why do you ask ?: Group b strep is occasionally found as a benign inhabitant of the GI tract & does create problems for newborns delivered to women who have it in their genital tract. Pregnant women go through transient periods where it is present & the disappears but rarely have any problem other than a UTI with it. Is it safe to have an HSG Femvue test while I have a UTI from Group B Strep? Could this infect womb?
Maybe risky: GBS mostly resides in the vagina, and might cause fallopian tube infection if flushed into the tubes when Femvue is injected. Make sure your doctor knows of your GBS infection, also the radiologist who may be actually doing the test. It may be safe, especially if your infection has been treated for a few days.
