Is it safe to get a spray tan while I am pregnant?

Is it safe to get a spray tan while I am pregnant?

Doubt it: I've said it before and i'll say it again: why you wanna put weird chemicals all over your skin? The skin is a huge absorptive surface and no one is ever ever going to test the safety of this process on pregnant women- please think carefully about everything you feed your skin and your mouth. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

SUNSCREEN!: Many people who spray tan tend to forget that they have no protection from uva/uvb rays of the sun. My favorite facial sunscreen is skin ceuticals physical fusion spf 50. It acts like a primer by diffusing the light around fine lines, it is unscented and so light. It also is a physical only sunscreen so it won't burn sensitive skin like my lupus face! it's also got a tint that works for everyone! ...Read more

Is it safe to have a spray tan if i’m pregnant.?

Sunscreen with titanium and zinc can help protect you from uva and uvb rays, but avoiding sun exposure is best. Spray tanning and tanning lotions are a reasonable alternative to achieve a bronzed look, but they may not be safe for pregnant/ lactating women. ...Read more

I am wondering how to get rid of the spots of spray tan that are left?

I am wondering how to get rid of the spots of spray tan that are left?

Time: It has been said, "time heals all spray tans." Think of it as a chemical stain on the topmost layer of skin cells. When the colored skin cells fall off over time, the color fades away. It's similar to the way henna designs fade away. ...Read more

Question: recently got a spray tan and now there are some spots left how can I get rid of them at home?

Time: Will wear off within a week. It depends upon the agent used for the tanning. I would wait it out rather than try anything very aggressive. You might want to try makeup remover, or soap and water. ...Read more

Should i still get a professional spray tan if it contains dha? I never get my face done.Am i at risk from getting cancer? If i get one every week?

Should i still get a professional spray tan if it contains dha? I never get my face done.Am i at risk from getting cancer? If i get one every week?

Probably safe: The fda has approved dha for use on the skin but not around the eyes, nose or mouth which is hard to avoid in the spray booth! the biggest concern is inhaling the mist which could damage the lungs so be sure to use nose clips/goggles and don't inhale while in the booth. A second concern is that a spray tan unlike a real tan, does not protect you from uv rays so be sure to cover up or use block! ...Read more
