Is it safe to wash utensil with lysol and dry them off, (not rinsing) and then eat with them? Will it cause any problems? Been doing this for years.
It depends: on which Lysol product you are using as they contain different ingredients not all of which are toxic but one or two can be. The fact that you have been doing this for years would suggest you have picked the safer one. Although I don't know how you tolerate the taste ...Read more

Is it safe to use or gargle with hydrogen peroxide for white teeth? What if you accidentally swallow some?
Docs can you explain, is it safe to floss, brush and use mouthwash after a root canal, or should one of these steps be eliminated to play it safe?
I'm using oxygenating mouthwash daily, it says to gargle in back of throat for 45 second.. Which I do but i always tend to swallow some. Is this okay?
A little is ok.: Any mouthwash won't cause you serious harm if you swallow a little. It's not made to swallow so don't overdo it. Also, oxygenating mouthwashes are so powerful on bacteria that it is suggested to use only a few times per week. You can supplement with other more standard bacteria fighting rinses. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Why is it recommended to use the asthma inhalers only before having food? Is there anything wrong if I use it immediately after having food
Haven't heard of it: Haven't heard of asthma inhalers needing to be used before eating food. The medication is designed to reach the large and small airways by floating down in the air as the person inhales. The medications do not need to be absorbed into the bloodstream. Eating or drinking should not have an effect, but a person can choose his own "best" time to use an inhaler if he thinks it changes his appetite. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What is the basis for saying that it is ok to take vitamins together with tea & coffee? Is it not safer to wait at least 1 hour after the beverage?
It's best not to: take vitamins on an empty stomach. They may upset your stomach. Also, you don't want them to run right through you but to be absorbed and the food helps that. Tea and coffee are diuretics, thus they make you urinate and this may promote the excretion of the vitamins wasting their help and your money. Peace and good health. ...Read more

Is it ever okay for children to use mouthwash? I've heard conflicting things about children using mouthwash because they might get too much fluoride. Is this true? Is there even any point in using mouthwash that doesn't have fluoride in it?
The : The effects of mouth washes are, very, very minimal. Brushing and flossing are far more important. Worry about your child brushing and foisting properly. Most children up to age 7 or so cannot properly manipulate their mouths for proper rinsing. They just end up swallowing the stuff. Spend the time on brushing and flossing and if that is perfect, then you can rinse, or not. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
