I'm at a lake and we ran out of water all we have is milk I take pills can I use the milk to get it down and will I be hydrated is tap water safe?

Yes: You can use the milk to take almost all pills, and stay hydrated (it has enough water content to keep an infant cow alive). If you want to try the tap water, look up the number for the local government water department, call them and ask if the water is safe to drink. Hope this helps! ...Read more

I want to use a netti pot but am scared of the water having amebas. How can I make sure my water is free from them?

I want to use a netti pot but am scared of the water having amebas. How can I make sure my water is free from them?

Boil your water.: If you are concerned about pathogens in your water supply, simply boil your water on the stovetop or in the microwave for 5 minutes, then allow it to cool to room temperature before using it as part of a neti pot treatment. You may have heard about the 'brain-eating' amoeba, "naegleria fowleri", infecting people via water sprayed up through the nose. Your risk of catching this is very, very low. ...Read more

How can I tell if my tap water is safe to drink after the earthquake?

How can I tell if my tap water is safe to drink after the earthquake?

I think you: would have to rely on notification from the government/public health authorities. It would be obvious, I would think, if your water supply has been affected by an earthquake. If it seems likely wait for official notification before using tap water. This is why bottled water is recommended for disaster preparedness. Good wishes:) ...Read more

Before i take a pregnancy test i drink a ton of tea that way i generate a lot of pee can that effect the answer should I drink water before i take it?

Before i take a pregnancy test i drink a ton of tea that way i generate a lot of pee can that effect the answer should I drink water before i take it?

See answer: The pregnancy test measures the hormone HCG which is produced by the fertilized, implanted egg and detectable about 9-10 days after ovulation/fertilization by blood test and about 12-14 days by urine test. The type of fluid you drink will not affect the urine test results but how much you drink may. If you drink too much, you will dilute the HCG and make it harder to detect. First urine in am best. ...Read more

What is the amount of water inned to drink daily, because i drink liters of water daily and now i heared about water intoxication , what is it and how should i control my water consumption?

WHY?: Why drink so much water? Water intoxication is real but rare. There is a silly urban legend about 8 glasses of water a day. Never made sense. Ignore it. Drink "liters"??? If this is OCD look for cognitive behavior therapy from a psychologist. If you have urinary stones, consult a nephrologist. ...Read more

Maybe (not) . . .: You didn't mention how many bottles you consume nor the size of said water bottle. So, yes, it's possible that perhaps you're not drinking enough water. Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/water/art-20044256 for a rough answer. I typically recommend drinking enough to make you void (pee) clear urine. ...Read more

I'm pregnant 24 weeks, is it safe to drink peppermint tea? If yes what is the safe daily proportion of it? Thanks

as far as we know: For obvious reasons no one does research giving drugs or herbs to pregnant women to study adverse effects, but peppermint tea has a long history of use by pregnant women and appears safe. There is no evidence it is harmful. See http://www.Drweil.Com/drw/u/qaa366713/is-peppermint-safe-during-pregnancy.Html - the expert consulted says it is safe to have 3 cups a day but more may be ok too... ...Read more
