Depends: On individual, but some people find that reducing dairy products is helpful, as well as difficult to digest foods (corn), and foods that produce lots of gas (broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, beans). Alcohol is not good, and i would not recommend it. Others find that reducing gluten in their diet may help. Still others find no problems with any foods at all. You should address ? Generally yes: Mercaptopurine or 6-mp (and related azathiprine, aza) are sometimes used in the treatment of ibd - they have been assigned to pregnancy category d by the fda, since early reports of receiving 6-mp in the first trimester appeared to have an increased incidence of abortions.
