Is It Safe For Children To Sleep By Themselves At The Age Of 4yo
Yes: I'm guessing from the question that there is a lot of anxiety about leaving your children alone in general. Children are safe to sleep alone largely from birth, as long as the crib is empty of all items and set up right. Certainly by 6 mo, the academy of pediatrics says childr en can sleep completely unsupervised. By 4 years, this is a personal and cultural decision, not a safety decision. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Normal: Many children grind their teeth at night. It is not uncommon or concerning under ten years old unless your child is literally grinding down his teeth. You can have him checked for pinworms as well..It is not a myth. The worms irritate the anus at night and cause itching that leads to grinding. I do not see this as a common cause for tooth grinding but it is worth exploring. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Discuss this with her pediatrician, detail her symptoms so that they may make the proper recommendations/referrals. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Define very rapid : Resting heart rate for a 4yo would be expected to fall between 60-90 beats per minute with periods during dream sleep that may run 90-140. Deep sleep should bee on the lower end of normal. If sleep & awake rates are always fast (90-140) a visit to your dr would be prudent. ...Read more
Normal: Many children grind their teeth while asleep. So do many adults. The sound it makes is very annoying and alarming, but don't worry about your 4 year old. Teeth get worn down from grinding, but a 4 year old will get new adult teeth. Most kids stop grinding spontaneously. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
