Can you get pregnant on the mirena (levonorgestrel)?

Pregnancy isn't common but it does happen in rare instances. If you do get pregnant while the Mirena (levonorgestrel) is in place, you have a high chance of having an ectopic pregnancy. Best wishes! ...Read more

You : You will most likely be able to get pregnant, especially as you have had a normal pregnancy in the past. Your hormones may be fluctuating, which can be caused by stress on the body, or even by weight (too high or too low). After intercourse, lie on your back for 10-15 minutes with your knees bent up to help retain sperm. Be sure you are eating a healthy diet. Discuss any medications you are on with your doctor. If you still do not conceive, then see your gynecologist or a fertility specialist. ...Read more

My iud mirena (levonorgestrel) expired February 4 2015 can i get pregnant if im bleeding?

Time to change : The manufacturer of Mirena (levonorgestrel) recommends removal after five years. We do know a "grace period" is built in knowing that some may keep in longer. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. ...Read more

Pregnancy with IUD: Sounds like you both are not on the same page. I recommend that you see a marriage counselor to resolve this because no matter what happens one of you will resent the other (more). Pregnancy can happen after 5 years but sometimes the presence of the IUD, no matter how old, can prevent pregnancy. If she were to conceive, IUD removal can cause a miscarriage. ...Read more
