Is It Possible To Pass Out While Laying Down If Not Dizzy Standing
Everytime I go from standing to laying down I get dizzy or from standing to squatting. I be feeling like im bout to pass out. What causing it.?
Why do I get dizzy when I sit down? I'm fine when standing, laying down, and driving. But at the computer especially, I feel as I'm about to pass out
BPPV?: It sounds like BPPV. This is caused by small stones in the inner ear moving from utricle to semicircular canals where they are not suppose to be. They send false signals to the brain and make you feel dizzy. This can be treatable. See an ent doctor. If you have more questions contact me on my Virtual Practice at www. Healthtap. Com/dryetimyan
I get extremely dizzy and nauseous when I lay on my left side to the point if I wasn't laying down I would pass out. I have neurofibromatosis.
May be inner ear: Most patients experience some hearing loss with acoustic neuroma which can occur particularly with nf2. However dizziness and nauseous feeling can occur from vertigo that can be related to virus affecting the inner ear. Usually related to laying on affected side. In your case the problem would be on left side. I would see doctor for evaluation and examination.See 1 more doctor answer

Hello.: Hello. The symptoms you are describing can be consistent with a condition called vertigo. I am answering this 6 days after you wrote in. I suggest that if you are still suffering from these symptoms when you get this answer, that you see either your physician or an ear/ nost./ throat specialist.
No: This is the name of a muscle, not an abnormality. Ask your DR. "Dizzy" or fainting? Vertigo? Positional vertigo?
Dizzy standing up: Your blood pressure changes when you stand, but should quickly normalize so that you do not notice. Occasional dizziness may be minor. When you have frequent postural hypotension, this adjustment does not happen as quickly and you notice the drop (dizziness). Your doctor can check your baseline blood pressure and make sure you do not have other issues that may contribute to postural hypotension.
Need check up: Need to be evaluated for orthostatic hypotension and neurological examination.
29/f. Woke up today and when I got outta bed am dizzy and feel off balance? Feel better when laying down.
I get dizzy after sitting/laying down. Has been going on for a week now, but last 24 hours it is happening every time I move. Why
Dizziness: You are describing what appears to be symptomatic orthostatic hypotension. There are a variety of causes, from dehydration to cardiac disease...All of which should be investigated and treated when diagnosed. It could also be do to anemia, bleeding, ongoing infection and other causes. See your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
What can cause u to get dizzy like u r on a ship at sea and it only happens when u r laying down and should I be worried about it?
Is it positional?: When you say "get dizzy...and it only happens when u r laying down" do you mean that the feeling comes on when you are lying down from either a seated or standing position? Does it also happen when getting up from a lying position? Sounds like BPPV or "benign paroxysmal positional vertigo." You should touch base with a neurologist to help you.
Clarifying last question regarding systolic BP raises when standing lowers when laying down I've had lightheadedness and dizziness. 48 y/o?
Orthostatic hypotens: You must correlate your dizziness with a significant drop in BP to say that they're related. Check your BP lying supine. Stand. Do you get dizzy? Check your BP immediately (you may have to repeat this a few times to get it). If your BP drops by >40 points or if it drop to
More info needed: Your dizziness associated with laying down and getting up can be caused by many conditions. Dizziness has many causes and in order to establish a diagnosis a thorough history and physical examination are necessary. Your should start by seeing your primary physician.See 2 more doctor answers
Orthostatic hypotens: Orthostatic hypotension develops with abrupt getting up from a lying position. You need to make your movements slower and sit on the edge of the bed for a minute before standing, giving your body time to adjust. Also you shoul hydrate yourself well.
No: The main thing you worry about here is cardiac issues. I would recommend you have a cardiac workup to be safe. Beyond cardiac, you may have decreased blood pressure when standing, or orthostatic hypotension, still need to be assessed for this. You may be dehydrated as this can mimic many of the same symptoms. Hope that helps!
