Is It Possible To Lose 30 Lbs In 100 Days
Wouldn't advise it: Even if it's possible, I wdn't advise it. Better to lose 1-1.5 lbs/wk (mod wt loss) by changing habits & diet. That's ~15-20 lbs in 14 weeks (98 days). To lose more wt, often u have 2 crash diet or exercise madly. Crash diets ultimately result in MORE wt in the long-run that's harder to lose. Extreme exercise can b dangerous & injurious when unsupervised. If morbidly obese, seek surgical advice. ...Read more
I have lost 55 lbs since march because I found out I have a fatty liver from obesity. My question is it possible to lose weight without exercise? I started new job and haven't been able to walk in several days
Break up exercise: To help lose weight, you still need 150minutes per week of exercise. You can break up this time as 15 minute intervals (everyone can do that) to help accomplish this goal. I usually recommend about 1200cal/day with one 500cal meal at night and three 200cal snacks for the day. Drink alot of water (0.5oz per pound you weigh) to help with the positive results. ...Read more

I am 183 lbs, 5'8. I am trying to lose 20 lbs. I do moderate-intense exercise 5 days a week & 50 min cardio per night. When will I lose weight?
Food is: Medicine. Exercise is very healthful also. Please see doc and ask about a low carb higher protein food plan. If your doc is ok w/that for you, it can put your body into ketosis, which is fat burning rather than sugar burning. Keep moving, even if it isn't formal exercise. A brisk walk daily helps a lot. Peace and good health. Think holistically and the pounds will come of slowly&safely. ...Read more
I weigh 245. If I work out 4 times a week at the gym for an hour each time and take long walks on 2 other days how long will it take to lose 100 lbs?
Depends: This is entirely a function of calories-in, calories-out. If you increase your eating, you'll gain. It's impossible for most people to control eating very well. Only a major lifestyle change or bariatric surgery will result in permanent weight loss. My hope is you'll find friends who have aerobic-fitness-focused lifestyles who can guide you; it helps restore healthy appetite control. Good luck. ...Read more

Control your carbs: Congratulations on your success! Now it's time to put positive lifestyle habits in place that will keep you healthy (that's how you get to a proper weight). The bottom line is to eat real food. There are 2 good places to go to learn what that means: primal and paleo lifestyles. Stop counting calories and start controlling starches and sugars (no more than 100 grams of total carbs/day). ...Read more

Losing Weight: First the answer is yes. One can lose weight with out working out. But, the weight loss will be slower and probably less effective in keeping the weight from coming back on. Why would a young otherwise healthy male not realize that to change your life you must change your life and that means adding some routine and regular exercise to build up your muscles, keep your metabolism high and healthy. ...Read more

Muscle mass/Body Fat: How much weight training are you doing? As muscle weighs more than fat, you may be building muscle and although your percent body fat would be declining, your weight could potentially be increasing. Other factors that could contribute to weight gain over a 10 day period could be water weight from your menstrual cylce. Lastly, you need to check thyroid and other hormone levels. ...Read more

Weight: Weight loss is such a frustrating thing. Our bodies evolved to hold onto weight, and it can be very difficult once a plateau is reached. I have to say, that losing 30 pounds is amazing, so congratulations. You are doing everything right. You might need to "jump start" your weight loss by a change in exercise program. You may want to consult a personal trainer, or ask a staff member at your gym for more variety in your routine. Again, congratulations on losing 30 pounds, that is fantastic. ...Read more

Do not distress!: You have started exercising w/ a trainer. You are doing everything right. You are probably gaining muscle at a faster rate than your a losing fat. Starvation: Many people continue to be surprised that starvation diets do not work. They do not work. Turning down metabolism means that starving will not work for weight loss. You must be eating to lose weight. You must be eating a diet that is low in calories and high in proteins to keep metabolism turned on and you must exercise as well. The key is metabolism. Not starvation. ...Read more

Most likely yes: It is impossible to lose weight if a normal person takes in more calories than she uses up each day. The extra calories are stored in the body. A person with a medical disorder can gain a lot of weight if that disorder causes water to build up in her body. A person training a lot to grow muscle bulk can gain muscle weight. Otherwise, normal people always lose weight when they eat less than needed. ...Read more

Fetzima: Is a balanced SNRI antidepressant. It may have more potent noradrenergic action than serotoneric action. It was studied in 3 separate 8 week trials before receiving recent FDA approval last summer. Its more likely to cause elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure and sweating (loss of fluids) compared with SSRI's or other SNRI's. Care should be taken in combining this with Loratadine. ...Read more

Not really: A good goal for weight loss is 1 pound/ wk which equals cutting out 500 calories from your diet each day. You would lose 16 pounds in 4 months.
