Is It Possible To Get Pregnant During Perimenopause
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Yes: Until a woman has had no menstrual periods for a full year, it is possible that she could unexpectedly ovulate and become pregnant. That said, fertility is certainly decreased at perimenopause. If a woman desires childbearing, she will likely need the intervention of a fertility specialist to be successful. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can a 44 year old woman with an elevated FSH level in perimenopause still get pregnant with her own eggs?
Not usually: Perimenopause symptoms include periods get closer together by 1-2 days and then space apart, vaginal dryness, hot flashes and night sweats. Pregnancy symptoms include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness and of course a missed period. Some women do not have periods for 2-3 months when they are close to menopause. If you miss a period and you are usually regular, take a pregnancy test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Started perimenopause symptoms at 43 I'm 46 3 negative pregnancy tests, missed three cycles.. Menopause?
Possible but unsure: It is only after you have gone through at least 12 consecutive months of "missed ovulatory menstrual cycles" that you may be considered "menopausal". Until then, or unless your blood hormonal levels of FSH, LH are elevated in the menopausal range and your estrogens are very low, you may be considered to still be "perimenopausal" or simply entering the menopausal transition period of your life. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Cramping last day of really strange period (began 10 days after last one). Highly doubtful i'm pregnant. Possible perimenopause or...? I'm 43.
More info: It's possible but unlikely you're in the perimenopause. Unless early menopause runs in your family, it's likely hormonal or due to lesion in uterus. Average age menopause is 51, so 43 quite early. You may want to see gyn md for consultation. Check thyroid, ultrasound and consider biopsy of uterus. It's unlikely, but at 43 if you have more than 1 period a month biopsy may be necessary. ...Read more

44 y.o. tubal (cut and seal) ligation done 13 years ago. No period this month 2 neg home pregnancy tests. Possibly pregnant vs perimenopause?
I'm 38 years old, sore nipples, last period in July 2014.had a tubal ligation at 25. Could I still be pregnant or is it perimenopause or hormonal?
Yes, it's possible: There is a small possibility that pregnancy may occur after a tubal ligation. The ends of the cut tube sometimes may reconnect and pregnancy may occur. When this happens there is an increase risk for an ectopic pregnancy ie the pregnancy remains inside the tube and not migrate to the uterus. This can become a life threatening emergency. Do a pregnancy test, if positive see your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is dizzy spells normal for women going thru perimenopause, not sure if pregnant also starting bleeding after no period since oct 2011, pain in stomach?
