Doctor insights on:
Is It Possible To Do Foreskin Restoration After An Adult Circumcision
Probably not: I'd compare it with a limb amputation in a way - can you restore a foot once it was chopped off? One may speculate on the possibility of having a cosmetic surgery done, but if the circumcision was performed correctly, I don't see why you would want to have it reverted. If it was done incorrectly and there are damages or bad cosmetic defects, then quite a cosmetic surgery might be an option.See 1 more doctor answer
What causes cuts on the foreskin of an uncircumsized penis? Of an adult male? And is there anything that can remedy this? Besides lube/circumcision?
Balanitis?: Overall the most common explanation is balanitis (the medical term for inflammation of the head of the penis and foreskin). Some are due to bacterial or yeast infection, others "nonspecific". Herpes is possible, but only for sores that appear for 1-2 weeks, clear up, and don't recur for at least several more weeks. See a doctor, preferably a urologist, for diagnosis and treatment advice.
? Insurance, ? cash: Most insurances will pay for a "hypospadias repair". Removal of hooded prepuce, which is the most minor form of hypospadias repair, more so if any straightening of penis is involved will be covered. This will certainly be covered by obama's affordable health care which will cover pre-existing conditions. Otherwise enquire by phone, prices vary from practice to practice ; region to region.
How to remove foreskin without circumcision n sex? I want to remove foreskin over glans and explore glans?
Remove or preserve?: Physically stretching a tight foreskin over the penile glans can only lead to skin splitting, then scarring and ending up with a worse problem. Steroid cream, such as Betamethasone, when applied twice daily for many weeks to the tight area may loosen things up. 50% will tighten up again after applications cease. Alternative is a minor dorsal slit through the tight area, this preserves foreskin.See 1 more doctor answer
I don't see how: I don't see how it will. When you cut something off, how can it grow back?See 3 more doctor answers
Possible by surgery: Will not grow again by itself. Surgery is quite major and performed by an occasional plastic surgeon or urologist practicing penile reconstruction. Part of thee penile skin is seperated and pulled over the glans. Resulting denuded area on penis is covered by a sin graft, usually kaken from a non hair bearing area from inner upper arm or thigh. Try and think again. My advice is best don't do it.See 1 more doctor answer
Circumcision week ago. Requested 10% from tip to be removed. Looks like the foreskin is pulled back n stitched with skin of shaft. Is this normal?
Post op care: Most of the doctors here will defer these surgery questions to the doctor providing care in person. It sounds normal, but any concerns must be raised with the professional caring for you.
Easy does it: This would be a great time for you to practice really light touch and a lot of lubricant. It's a good skill to learn as well as it will help prepare you for different kinds of partners.
How to ensure excessive -too much foreskin is not removed during circumcision inorder to avoid pain after erection later.
Surgery: Are you asking us what you can do to assist the surgeon during the operation? I do nit understand the question. Perhaps the best advice is to choose a surgeon you have confidence in.
I have excess fore skin. Can just the excess foreskin beremoved surgically? I do not want to go for complete circumcision.
Urologist: I would first discuss with a urologist or plastic surgeon with an interest in male genital surgery.See 3 more doctor answers
After circumcision is it better to have more inner or outer foreskin? Is inner foreskin above scarline? Should frenulum remain after circ?
CIRCUMCISION: Some of the frenulum remains and every doctor leaves a different amount of prepuce behind the glans.See 1 more doctor answer
My foreskin can only be pulled back behind the head and that's when I am not erect. How can I fix without circumcision as an option. Bethamathasone?
See answer: Phimosis refers to the inability to adequately retract the distal foreskin over the glans penis. One to five percent of males will have nonretractible foreskins by age 16 years. 0.1 -0.05% Betamethasone dipropionate applied to the preputial orifice twice a day for up to 4-6 weeks accompanied by gentle, manual retraction/stretching of the foreskin. Circumcision reserved for persistent phimosis.See 1 more doctor answer
My foreskin retracts when soft and hard, but it has been tearing during sex the past year, dr rec a circumcision, I'm afraid of not liking it afterwar?
General anesthesia: You won't feel a thing during the operation if done under general anesthesia. Surgeon, if requested, can perform a local anesthetic block by injection at base of penis before you awake. Will be pain free for a few hours. Then suggest Ativan (lorazepam) at night to prevent or reduce painful nocturnal erections. You can also get a prescription for pain meds so it won't hurt much in the long run. Good luck.
Phimosis: Most Dr. S in the US recommend circumcision for 20-year-old with tight foreskin (phimosis). First alternative is 1% betamethasone steroid cream applied twice daily to tight area for 2-3 months which may take care of problem. 2nd alternative, if you wish to retain your foreskin, find a urologist who will perform a dorsal slit or prepucioplasty. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
