Unsure: I assume you mean a d&c. Sometime it can damage the lining of the uterus and cause scarring which can make pregnancy more difficult. A clue would be a lightening of the periods. But that could easily be evaluated by ultrasound or hysteroscopy. ...Read more

Yes & no: Since there are dozens of germs that can cause it & many are bacteria (like a strep throat),a prior case does not prevent it from ever happening again. You can not pass it to others if you have been treated/cured, but might in the pre-treatment period. The frequency of getting it again is small, sort of like lightening striking you again.
