I once had a patient from south georgia who got into trouble with the police for taking it for his severe juvenile idiopathic arthritis. He claimed it helped him a lot. No: Depending on where you live, for non cancer pain-Cannabis may STILL be illegal even for medicinal purposes. In my opinion, unless if it can be delivered in different way, the SMOKE would cause way too much airway inflammation and put users at risk for COPD. 17 states + DC: 17 states and washington dc have passed medical marijuana laws, but they vary in how they're enacting them. Each state may also have different processes. A riddle?: If you already have medical cannabis, chances are you're already smoking it. If you have chronic stomach pain then you are smoking it for chronic stomach pain, and possibly other ailments.
