Categorically NO: If the valproate is for seizure control, I would definitely not recommend you take orlistat. Valproate is a prescription and should be given for a definite purpose. Orlistat is going to move things throug the bowel faster, inhibit fat absorption and can case mal-absorption of fat soluable vitamins in the diet. You end up pooping oil. If you do this, you should be under strict care of your doc.See 1 more doctor answer

Is it okay to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) while taking 20 mg citalopram? Would not be taking them at the same time.
Yes: As long as you are not taking more than 3g (3, 000mg) of Tylenol (acetaminophen) a day, you should be fine with taking it at the same time as citalopram. The concern is for liver damage, which is why I would not suggest more than 3g Tylenol (acetaminophen) daily or for a prolonged period of time.
Taking citalopram 20mg for depression and I've ran out is it okay to take a different anti depressant same dose until I go to the doctors too get more?
Not necessarily: Not really. Celexa & Lexapro (escitalopram) are identical in terms of the active ingredient. However there are differences with other antidepressants - especially if they are not selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. If you call the doctor's office, they will sometimes order you a temporary refill at a pharmacy to get you through to your next appt date. Good luck.
Is it okay to take acetaminophen, phenylephrine hci, dextromethorphan hbr, and chlorpheniramine while taking concerta and celexa (citalopram)?
Good Question: Generally speaking, most otcs are ok to take with Concerta and celexa, (citalopram) and certainly you should not stop either of the two to take the otc. But you should use your own experience to help you select any cold or congestion remedy. In particular, you should try to limit/avoid any stimulant-like meds (phenylephrine and sudafed) with adhd meds, esp. If is already combined with an antidepressant.See 1 more doctor answer
Claritin (loratadine): Hello, it is ok to take these two medications together. It's always good to review your medications with your pharmacist. He/she can run your medications with possible side effects. Even with otc meds. I hope this helps.

Is it okay for me to take a medication for add along with my celexa (citalopram) that I take for anxiety?
Talk to your MD: This is done often with good success. But you should take your medications as directed by the prescribing physician.
Upset stomach: Why take it anyway? It won't do you any good.
Be careful: Temazepam is a CNS depressant most commonly prescribed to treat insomnia. Taking a CNS depressant with an SSRI, such as citalopram, can enhance the adverse effects of the SSRI, particularly psychomotor impairment. You shouldn't be taking either of these drugs without the guidance and authorization of a physician, preferably a mental health professional.See 2 more doctor answers
