For 3 weeks, I have sharp pains both sides of my middle abdomen, constant light headaches and lightheadedness. Blood tests "normal", what tests remain?

Nondiagnostic: These varied symptoms are nondiagnostic and a physician will have to evaluate you by taking a thorough history, perform a physical examination and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis. Perhaps a referral will then be made to certain specialists like a gastroenterologist and neurologist as well. ...Read more

I have juvenile artithis my doctor got my blood tests back and she said my body is very inflammed and I've been gettin headaches everyday what wrong?

Find support: It sounds like it might be difficult to get this under control, but w/ help you might. If you can find a counselor/therapist to help you navigate the medical system - there may be anti-inflammatory efforts to make - dietary, medicinal, etc. But it demands assertiveness. Lifelong steroids are dangerous, so it's hard. Http://www.arthritis.org/conditions-treatments/disease-center/juvenile--arthritis/. ...Read more

I have swollen lymph node in neck for a month now my blood tests have been all clear the doctors aren't worried but I am I also have headaches?

I have swollen lymph node in neck for a month now my blood tests have been all clear the doctors aren't worried but I am I also have headaches?

Get checked: Swollen nodes may be residual from a viral infection. The most common bacteria causing enlarged nodes are strep and staph so sometimes going on an antibiotic effective against them will make them smaller which makes it less likely that something bad is happening. Even in cases of lymphoma blood testing is normal. I would see an ENT for further evaluation. ...Read more

Can blood tests detect brain tumors? I had one a week ago and now I'm feeling pressure on head or headache. No other problems tho I'm 17 years old

Can blood tests detect brain tumors? I had one a week ago and now I'm feeling pressure on head or headache. No other problems tho I'm 17 years old

Mixed antecedents: A week ago you had either a brain tumor or a blood test. I'll go with blood test. Now a week later you're feeling "pressure on head." Do you mean "detect" or "cause"? Either way, the answer is no. Even if a blood test somehow COULD cause a brain tumor, it would have to be an amazingly fast-growing tumor to cause symptoms after only a week. Also, you say you're 17 but your profile says 19. (?) ...Read more

Blood tests ultrasounds and a cat scan a 2 yrsago doctor won't give me a MRI for my daily minor headaches what do I do? Is dr right no need to worry?

Enough tests: The cat scan and your evaluation should be enough. An MRI is unlikely to add any value. If you continue to have headaches, ask for a referral to a neurologist who may be able to help you bring the headaches under control.
Another consideration is to consider the amount of stress you are under. A thorough assessment of head and neck structures may also undercover the cause of your headaches. ...Read more

My body is not absorbing estrogen prescribed by my doc. Blood tests showed non existent. I'm post menopausal. Dizzy, tired, headaches, sad, irritabl?

Different route: How are you taking the estrogen? There are many forms and ways to get it in your body. You may want to try something different. There are sprays, creams, gels, patches, a vaginal ring, and pills. Pick one, start low, and go up on the dose slowly until you get some relief! It can take months to stabilize. Make sure you don't also have other hormonal deficiencies, like thyroid. ...Read more

I am suffering lightheadness, neck pain, headache have had blood tests all good, CT and MRI all good what else can it be?

I urge you to: Continue to be very cautious and look for more serious causes, but something to consider is the fact the cervical paraspinal spasms can cause all of these issues. Try neck stretching, strengthening exercise in a safe environment for a few days to see if that helps. With a history of high blood pressure, also consider carotid stenosis and ask your physician to make sure this isn't the cause as well. ...Read more

Swollen and fairly painful lymph node in left groin. Fever and headache but normal blood tests. Lethargic but I don't feel sick.

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells/digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph everywhere for bad stuff like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more
