Too late: You have to wait till it gets out of your system and see your doctor if it does not get better in couple of days as there may be complication of flu like sinusitis or pneumonia get the vaccine next time and every year. ...Read more

I take prescribed oxycontin & have the flu. The body pain is unbearable at times even w/ oxy. What should I do?

Simple analgesics: I have never heard of anyone being prescribed a narcotic (opioid) for body pain from the flu ever. I know you are already on this rx and it may be you have developed opioid induced hyperalgesia from the oxycontin. The solution is lowering the dose not raising the dose.
