It is not contraindicated, but if you have severe/active disease, probably no doc will prescribe it for you. So, if you have hep c, but not active and no evidence of liver disease yet, it should be ok.
This med is now most commonly prescribed by dermatologist...I doubt yur family doc will...As it is a pretty involved process for the doc prescribing and patient recieving it...
