Is It Okay To Swim In A Chlorinated Pool If You Have Blepharitis
Either way: Chlorine in pools is irritating to the eyes. It does not matter if you have blepharitis or completely normal eyes. I recommend if you swim regularly that you obtain a good pair of goggles, and you can smear a little skin cream on the rubber barrier inside of the goggle eyepieces to insure a good seal. Read more

I swam in a freshly chlorinated pool with an open wound nowith it is greenIsh yellow and has redness surrounding it what do I do?
See a doctor.: Go to a wound care / urgent care center & have the open wound looked at by a physician. It may be infected. It may be an "irritant" reaction to the chemicals in the pool. Discuss ALL of your symptoms, including any fevers, sweating, etc. With your doctor. The soon you start PROPER treatment, the sooner the wound should close. You can use HealthTap Prime as well, but an in-person visit is preferred Read more
If I have vaginal burning, can swimming in a chlorinated pool be bad or make it burn more? And also how can I fix the burning? Any home remedies?
Burning: Swimming in a chlorinated pool can certainly make it worse. However, it's important to make sure you don't have an infection like a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. Other causes could be sensitivity to something you are using for laundry or hygiene. I'd recommend staying out of the pool for now and getting checked out. Read more
I hv eczema but no one in my family ever had eczema. It started after sitting 5-6 hours in the swimming pool. Chlorinated water is d cause?? Pls tell
Eczema unlikely: Eczema is primarily a problem with the immune system or microscopic structural problem within the skin. It can certainly worsen (all of a sudden) in older people due to infection or contact exposure or other triggers. Your description sounds more consistent with irritant skin reaction or an infection. A physical exam by a physician will go a long way toward finding the right treatment. Read more
Is it safe if a pregnant woman regularly swims in a chlorinated pool with the strong smell of chlorine?
Been swimming in a highly chlorinated pool this weekend, now I have a headache, my body hurts, And a low fever. Could it be from germs in the pool?
Unlikely: If a swimming pool is "highly chlorinated", there shouldn't be germs to worry about in the water. The germs that tend to get people sick are from the other people sneezing or coughing towards you (through the air, not via the water). Also, surfaces can transmit germs in a place where there are lots of people. Such surfaces include doorknobs, railings, elevator buttons, bathroom items, etc... Read more
