High cholesterol: My go to drug for high cholesterol (c) reduction is Crestor (rosuvastatin) and it needs to be given in reduced dosage in patients with chronic kidney disease. I would start you on a dose of 5 mg/day. That will likely not be enough to lower your levels significantly. You need to go to an endcrinologist (e) to see if the e can add other drugs you can take to lower your dangerously high c. Good luck. ...Read more

HEEL PAIN: Heel pain has many causes. Is your pain worse first thing in the morning or after periods of rest? Is it on the bottom or back of the heel? Plantar fascitis is the most common cause of pain on the bottom of the heel. Start by doing calf stretches, ibuprofen, and wearing arch supports (all day long). If that doesn't work see a foot specialist. Doubtful that your meds have anything to do with this. ...Read more

I am taking amox tr-k clv 875 mg 125 mg every 12 hours but want to take it once a day instead. I am a diabetic and taking Farxiga,Oseni,lipitor (atorvastatin).

I would advise not: to do that. The antibiotic is 12 hours tab, and it becomes low in the body after 12 hours resulting in being not effective as well as making the infection grow resistance to the Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate). It is usually 7 to 10 days, so please bear it and continue taking as prescribed. Thank you and good luck. ...Read more
