I have a lump near my right tonsil and one on my larynx.i have little red sores on my throat and mild cough as well.im 17.could it be throat cancer?

Red sores in throat: Throat cancer is very unlikely to be the cause of these symptoms. Long-term smokers have an increased risk of throat cancer, but even if you smoke, it would be unusual for this to occur at age 17. The best protection against throat cancer is to never smoke. In the meantime, the redness and lump and cough you describe sound much more like a viral infection. ...Read more

I started smoking in january n i stoped.3 weeks ago could i have throat cancer
?

Sounds like phobias: Cancer from smoking generally requires decades (not months) of smoking. It sounds to me like an unnatural fear or phobia. If it is worrying you, see your doctor and/or get a referral for an ENT physician to exam you for reassurance. If you still have this fear, talking to a therapist/counselor may be helpful. Congratulations on stopping. Keep it that way and good luck!!! ...Read more

If you are a light smoker for a year could u get throat cancer? And also 16 years of age?

No: that would be highly unusual, and pretty close to impossible. However, there are other causes of cancer in any part of the body including the throat. Lymphoma can occur there, and have really nothing to do with smoking or other known risk factors. You don't say why you are concerned, but you need to present those symptoms to your doctor. If it is hoarseness, that is common, and goes away. ...Read more
