Depends: This depends a lot on the type/complications of your pregnancy/delivery and the type of work you do.I had a Jazercise instructor work up until the day before delivery and start back teaching a week later. Alopecia: Chastity, this is not uncommon after pregnancy. Have your TSH (thyroid) checked and a dermatologist to check for alopecia areata. If a physiological loss of hair, there is a chance it may grow back. Until then I would consider extensions etc to cover. I would not go the drastic route of hair transplant just yet! 4-6 weeks: Decreased work load should be 4-6 weeks, but this doesn't mean you should be doing week 5 what you were in week 1. You need to gradually increase your participation in activities so your muscles stay toned and the transition back into full activity is easier. Light housework and yoga can certainly be attempted by 5 weeks, and then listen to your body's response, adjusting your work load as needed. ...Read more

Not normal: Is this the first period since delivery? Was everything ok with delivery and did bleeding stopped as expected afterwards? Were your periods heavy before preg.? Periods can become a bit heavier after pregnancy but a tampon every 45 min seems a lot. I'd see your OB-GYN, esp. if heavy bleeding continues, cramping, fever, dizzy or weak. ...Read more
