I am being treated with doxoycycline for chlamydia but today someone gave me head oral sex) will it make the infection worse?
I have spots the same color as my skin under my penis head, I was tested + for chlamydia last month but had it treated, and I still have these spots.
Here are some...: Based on what described, the concerned spots are not STD-related but some commonly expected discolored skin macules which carry no clinical significance and require no need for active care, as long as being stable in their size with no elevation or bleeding or hurt. Of course, without a direct look at them, it is hard to tell such in 100% accuracy. More? Seek timely evaluation & counseling. Best. ...Read more
I had unprotected sex & gave head to guy with Chlamydia, day before I went on antibiotics I had a deep makeout with another. Did I give him chlamydia too? I'm worried : (
Well....: Luckily chlamydia trachomatis isn't transmitted well to the throat like gonorrhea often is thru unprotected oral sex. You probably didn't, but if this is someone you care about or even just like and respect, it would be wise to be honest. Also probably time to use condoms more regularly even for head as chlamydia can cause you permanent fertility issues and pain. ...Read more
This is my 7th day after taking azithromycin for chlamydia and I recieved head. Will I be at risk of gettin reinfected?
Yes and no: Although the Azithromycin will take care of the current chlamydia infection, you can get re-infected if you continue to have unprotected intercourse with a partner who is still infected. Your partner (s) should be evaluated and treated if necessary. Besides abstinence, condom use is the only form of contraception that prevents sexually transmitted diseases. Oral sex is lower risk sex, low is not no. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
This is my 7th day after taking azithromycin for chlamydia and I recieved head from someone who doesn't have chlamydia. Will I get reinfected?
Probably not: It is not possible to tell if they have chlamydia from looking at them; however, oral sex is a relatively low risk activity for contracting any std other than herpes (oral sex is high risk for contracting herpes if either person has the virus). Safer sex would involve using a condom or dental dam as a barrier for even oral sex. ...Read more
Been having bleach spots on my penis and burning when I squeeze my head. Got tested for chlamydia and syphilis negative. Also really smelly feces.
Need more tests.: There are other infections that need to be looked for to explain the burning. Also, fragrances in anything, harsh soaps, can irritate the opening of the urethra & cause burning, as can over-scrubbing. Bleach spots may not be related. See doc again. Use products for sensitive skin (and your partner needs to, too). No fragrances, no aerosols, no alcohol-based products, no rough scrubbing, hot H20 ...Read more
I have a sticky penis head and swollen penis & scrotum. I've been treated for chlamydia, thrush & NSU but still have these symptoms.?
A Sticky Subject...: This "sticky penis, " is it sticky on the outside? Or sticky stuff coming out of it? Have you been tested for diabetes? Do you follow meticulous personal hygiene? Do you exercise a lot? Sit in one position at work for hours? Any allergies? Gettin' it in the wrong places?? Seen a Urologist? A Dermatologist? Believe it or not, try exposure to sunlight for 20 minutes twice a day. Oh, I forgot, it's England ...Read more
Any touch on penis head including clothes causes major tingling. Tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia negative. Rapid premature ejaculation. Thoughts?
May be okay...: You're probably okay besides oversensitivity of glans penis which is understandably related with premature ejaculation (pe). To improve pe, take on behavioral modification, apply thin topical anesthetic cream 20-30 minutes before coitus, or add using ssri timely. Detailing? See doc. ...Read more

I took 1g of azithromycin for chlamydia 6 days ago but I still have some symptoms they are not as bad but still there. Is this normal?
Depends on the sympt: Chlamydia infection in women generally causes vaginal discharge and in men, almost no symptom to minimal discharge. The more symptomatic one is really gonorrhea as it is a more aggressive bacteria and tend to ride together with chlamydia. The dose of Azithromycin is enough to cure chlamydial infection. If your symptom has not resolved, there may be another problem that has not yet been fixed. ...Read more

My period is 5 days late. My LMP was 11/11/2013. I was tested, diagnosed, and treated for chlamydia. Is this normal or could I be pregnant?
Have chlamydia, been on doxycycline for 6 days. Now starting to have brown discharge. Is this normal since I am almost done the medication?
Possibly.: The discharge may be the result of normal healing but may be the result of other causes such as pregnancy or other hormonal reasons. If pregnant notify your provider. Also be sure you are or have been checked for other sexually transmitted infections. The itching may result from a yeast infection due to the antibiotic therapy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Are chlamydia meds the same as normal antibiotics? Bc I was informed I had chlamydia today and I'm currently on antibiotics for a sinus infection.
Need other treatment: Most antibiotics used for sinus infections will not reliably cure chlamydia. Azithromycin sometimes is used for sinusitis and is a recommended drug for chlamydia, but the dose is different: for chlamydia, you need a single large dose (1 gram). Tell the doc or clinic where chlamydia was diagnosed about the other antibiotic then follow their advice. Also make sure your sex partner (s) are treated. ...Read more
My friend was prescribed Zithromax for suspected Chlamydia infection and he was then prescribed another gram when treatment failed. Is this normal?
Hard to say: One of the primary reasons for treatment failure is the wrong diagnosis which led to ineffective treatment. You say "suspected"chlamydia".This agent shares symptoms with other germs, and retreating the wrong condition with an otherwise effective med is odd. I would want to confirm the diagnosis. Another possibility is continued exposure to an untreated partner with re-infection. ...Read more
