Pain with urination: No it is not normal to have pain with urination in this case. You were likely catheterized during the procedure and that can be very irritating and even increase risk for bladder infection. Normal: There are a variety of aches and pains that come and go during the recovery period of a traumatic event such as an abdominal operation. These will eventually fade away in the coming 6-8 weeks. May have some residual. Also very common to become fatigued easily for weeks to months, but there is high variability of this. Cystitis: These are the symptoms of hemorrhagic cystitis. Ideally you should have a urine culture then started on an antibiotic and followed till symptoms resolve. There are no home remedies .
