Is It Normal To Have Spotty Lymph Nodes For Years
I have had a swollen lymph node for months with no sign of infection (FBC normal) if it was cancerous would it have grown in size? Biopsy schedueled.
Yes it would have: Cancerous nodes rarely sit still and tend to get larger over a period of months. Unless the lymph node is bigger than 2 cm, and or it has grown in size, I do not see a clear reason to do a biopsy of this lymph node. Please give us some more info. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Make an appointment.: Swollen lymph nodes, while they can be related to something as simple as a common cold, can also be signs of life-threatening conditions. You can evaluate any dental components at a routine 6 month dental exam, but if something is hurting, swelling or bleeding you have an instability and it's time for an intervention. Be serious. Make an appointment with your dentist and your ENT. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Daughter has 1cm lymph node for months.E.N.T wants to wait couple months for biopsy to see if grows. what is likelyhood of lymphoma? i am so stressed
Very low: Lymph nodes can normally be up to 1cm in size especially in the context of frequent infections (being a child). A doc will also use texture, location and tenderness to consider the likelihood of something worrisome, but in an otherwise healthy patient removing a 1cm lymph node without more alarming characteristics would offer little to no potential benefit to offset the harm done by the biopsy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Monitoring Centers: The lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. A lymph node "tastes" the lymph to see if anything bad is there like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and enlarges in response. Not feeling others does not mean problems as they may simply be deeper. ...Read more

Supraclavicular node: Well a normal person does not have a sc node that you can feel. If that is what you are truely feeling it shouldn't be there. Now it could be from an infection...Check your hand and arm over real good for cuts and scratches(do you have cats?). But than you really should get it checked out.
