Is it serious to have increased heart palps ( feel like hiccups) with the resp flu? Feel jittery. Havent taken anything. No high fever. Just cough and short of breath and head cold.

Palpitations: If you are feeling palpitations then need to investigate it through ekg, holter or event monitor to rule out maliganant arrythmias. From your symptoms it appears that you have concomitant respiratory tract infection. When you have cough ity could cause diaphragmatic/phrenic nerve irritation. It could cause hiccouphs. As you are c/o cough and shortness of breath, head congestion seek medical help. ...Read more

Outbreak of what?: Your question wasn't clear and got truncated, but if you're taking valtrex (valacyclovir) for suppression of herpes of any sort, it needs several months on the right dose to achieve a good result, moreover you need to test your blood count while on the medicine for protracted periods, confer with the doctor who prescribed you the medicine or get a virtual consult on HealthTap, wish you wellness ...Read more

I can feel my 4yo small lymph nodes in the side of her neck. She has had a head cold for over a week but no fever. Normal?

Reactive Lymphnodes: Lymph nodes are a part of our immune system. When we get ill, they rev up and can increase in size and sometimes be a little tender. The lymph nodes closest to the area of infection tend to be most affected. In small kids (especially if they are really lean), even when they are healthy it is often easy to feel their lymph nodes in their neck area. This is OK. If in doubt consult her pediatrician. ...Read more

I have a head cold I think, sneezing runny nose VERY tired it's been 4 days but now have diarriah? Is this normal, no fever? When to c a doctor?

Yes, normal: It is very common for viral illnesses, even some nasty ones, to not have fever as a symptom. Sounds like a pretty typical course of upper respiratory symptoms that now have progressed to involve the GI tract as well. I'd wait a week before I'd see a doctor unless symptoms such a shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, significant pain (like a bad earache), or high fever >104 develop. Rest ALOT! ...Read more
