Should i be worried or concerned? Last night at approximately 3:00 am i woke from a deep sleep with a severe headache ranging from my forehead & temples all the way to the back of my head. The pain was so severe i couldnt stop crying and holding my head.
In general, headaches that wake a person from sleep are considered to be worth investigating. Though it's probably nothing, this scenario could also represent something like spontaneous bleeding into the brain or an infection of some type. I would recommend that you see your doctor to discuss this.
In the meanwhile, it may be safer for you to avoid medications that cause thinning of the blood, like aspirin. If you are on chronic blood thinners like Plavix or coumadin, (warfarin) then i think it would be important for you to be seen right away. ...Read more

Dry Socket Pain.: Dry sockets can be very painful, lasting a few weeks. Severe headaches can happen as well. Once healed, you should be fine, but it can take some time. ...Read more

I have a normal temp. Neck has been hurting for 2 days. I can touch my chin to my chest. No severe headache or other symptoms. What could this be?
Possible neck strain: It all depends on the location of the neck pain, and what things make it worse. Since you have no fever, can touch your chin to chest and no headache, we can rule out meningitis! If it is tender to touch and worse when stretching one direction but not the other it could be a neck strain. If you have had any recent trauma/injury I would see your doctor to evaluate your spine. ...Read more

Sinus : Most pain in or around an eye is from sinusitis or headache. Pain reliever and decongestant should relieve it. If not, or if it is getting worse, go see your doctor. It could also be due to an eye problem such an inflammation in (called uveitis) or around the eye. High blood-pressure rarely causes pain. You need to see an eye doctor to really rule this out. You should check your brother blood-pressure anyways. ...Read more

Now 3 days after a cspine epidural steroid inj. Was fine until now shooting pain electric like white flash and severe headache normal?
Hard to say: See a spine specialist to make sure nothing was damaged or irritated after the injection. I would consider increase caffeine intake and fluids and see if headache improves with lying down. If it improves with lying down it could be a spinal fluid leak and you may need a blood patch. If it gets worse or you get a fever, go to er to make sure nothing else is going on or get a repeat mri. ...Read more
