Is It Normal To Have Pain 5 Days After An Endometrial Biopsy
Biopsy is tissue removed by needle or cutting to remove part of a body part. It is usually a small amount of material that is processed by a pathologist. Most of the time it is stained and looked at through a microscope to arrive at a diagnosis. Special processes are done for some tissues or problems. The purpose is to tell what the problem is (diagnosis). ...Read more
I had a endometrial biopsy two days ago. Bleeding has gotten worse as days go on. And now passing some clots. Is this normal or at least ok?
A bit concerning: Usually a routine endometrial biopsy causes little bleeding/pain and often much better by 48 hours. In your case it has gotten worse, which is not usual. I am a bit worried about possibility of an infection--endometritis, thus causing worsening of bleeding. If you have more cramping, fever etc. Consult doc for an evaluation. Best of luck. ...Read more

Anovulation: You may be perimenopausal and the spotting relates to the hormonal changes that occurs during this time. Not necessarily: During what phase of your cycle was the stripe measured? If you have no symptoms such as irregular, heavy, prolonged, inter menstrual bleeding, observation is appropriate. 2 weeks ago today I had a cone biopsy and endometrial biopsy's. I'm still bleeding is this normal?
Depends: First there are three types of conization (laser, cold knife, and LEEP). All may be associated with some light bleeding, though it should get better with time. I usually see my conization patients two weeks post op, so you might need a follow up as well. If the endometrial biopsy was for abnormal bleeding then this could be more of that also. ...Read more
How accurate is an endometrial biopsy if you had one last year w/a hysteroscopy which was normal and a office biopsy last week same results?
Is it normal to have an endometrial stripe measurement of 11mm and endometrial biopsy showing precancerous cells? 38 yr old premenopausal Female.
Possible Endometrial cancer. Endometrial biopsy normal. Hysteroscopy D&C recommended because lining is 15. What is this suspect of?
Endometrial polyp: If the biopsy was negative, chances are minimal that you have cancer. Most likely, you have a polyp causing the thickened endometrium. The hysteroscopy and D&C will show what is definately going on and allow removal of the tissue. It will also confirm the biopsy results, likely showing no cancer. ...Read more

Still waiting for pathology results from polypectomy and endometrial biopsy. I had the op on the 11th of march. Is this normal? I called twice myself
Should have answer.: You should have gotten a result by this time. Sometimes the pathologists need to work on it longer if they see something, but they would be in touch with your other doctor (s), at least the doctor who robed your polyp.
