You may have other disorders like esophageal spasm, eosinophilic esophagitis, bile reflux all of which aren't often helped by the above treatments. Odd: That is a bit odd, the classic symptoms of acid reflux is burning, mid abdomen, right under the middle of your rib cage, and pain can radiate up into the chest. I suspect it could cause discomfort like you are saying, but make sure you are on top of treating your symptoms with medications. You can try some Tums as needed for discomfort or daily Zantac (ranitidine) or Prilosec daily for the next month ...Read more
