Is It Normal To Get Tinnitus When You Have Blocked Ears
Head cold for 8 days.
Blocked ears/pressure/hearing loss for 7 days.
Intense, constant tinnitus for the past 2 days.
Should I be worried?
Not yet: The general consensus in our specialty (ENT) is that an 8 day history of your symptoms is a viral upper respiratory infection. An antibiotic is not needed at this time. If the canal is closed you may hear abnormal sounds or sounds that you didn't notice. It is often hard to localize the side these sounds come from. Inner ear problems can cause similar symptoms. See ENT doc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Uri with blocked ear: Quite common. Try to pop the ears by grabbing your nose and blowing hard with you mouth closed. If this does not work try some afrin nasal spray for only 3 to 4 days. Over this you will get addicted to it. Give the antibiotic time to work. The infection is going to take 7 to 8 days to start to clear. Good luck. Hang in there ! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
