Not normal but...: It's not unusual for a woman to get a cyst in vaginal area, such as a bartholin gland cyst, which gets infected and bursts. It would be a good idea to see your primary physician or gynecologist to evaluate what your problem is. ...Read more

Sebaceous cysts: If this was truly a sebaceous cyst it may have to be surgically removed. If only drained and the capsule remains it may reform and rupture once again and it will create a risk of becoming infected. See your gynecologist and have them advise you. Good luck and best wishes. ...Read more

Sure.: A sebaceous cyst will usually only get better if surgically removed. Occasionally a steroid shot will make it go away. If your dermatologist does surgical procedures, they can probably take care of it; otherwise, a general surgeon or plastic surgeon is your choice. In 2-3 weeks you should be well healed, though this is an area where infections are not rare and may delay healing for much longer. ...Read more

Yes that can be: A normal variant. Look up sebaceous hyperplasia. See if that doesn't describe your body's appearance. For some women that's normal. Sometimes biopsy is done if the diagnosis isn't certain. ...Read more

Bartholin Cyst?: Possibly a bartholin cyst. Caused by a backup of fluid from the glands. May be painless, but can become infected. If infected it will be painful. Soaking in warm water may help clear the cyst. Call your doctor if it becomes extremely painful or it does not improve within a few days. ...Read more

Let me explain: Labia cysts do not frequently prove to be harmful, other than a mild discomfort in some cases. However, in few cases they can grow into tumors, which must be checked regularly. In case a cyst becomes problematic, surgery is the only option. ...Read more

Infected Cyst: What you are describing may be a sebaceous cyst (clogged hair follicle) or an infected bartholin's gland. Either can get blocked and filled with fluid or by the normal bacteria in the area. It can cause pain with sex. It can be drained or removed. You should see your provider to have this evaluated. ...Read more

Exam: I would definitely get an exam from a doctor for both of these areas. Boils or cysts on breasts always need to be examined to rule out breast cancer. A boil is typically an infection, a cyst may or may not be, thus treatment is different for each. But definitely get an exam as wouldn't want to miss anything important. Good luck! ...Read more
