Is it normal to feel sad that people ask about the baby all the time and not me?

Yes: I don't think you should in any way feel "jealous" of the attention your baby is getting. Its just natural for people to feel excited about a new person. ...Read more

IVF: There is no medication to alter the genotype. The only way to avoid having a baby with hemoglobin ss would be in vitro fertilization with preimplantation dna testing. Costly process. ...Read more

Anxiety related: You need to see your doctor to get evaluated for an anxiety related condition or depression. Since mental health is a very delicate balance between physical and emotional well being, affected by past and present social events in your life, a detailed assessment will help you not only deal with the issue in making you feel better but a productive human being your family and friends will enjoy more. ...Read more

Is it normal to have a sudden feeling of sadness out of the blue, randomly, a couple times a month?

Possibly: Many of us have a bad day here or there either for no reason or for reasons we've tried to ignore. With women, changes during the menstrual cycle can increase the likelihood of such abrupt but brief mood changes. If the sadness passes fairly quickly and isn't impairing your ability to function, probably nothing to worry about. If it increases or is disabling, might want to have an assessment. ...Read more

Is it normal that I get sad and start to cry because of everything cause every little thing hurts my feelings, I am pregnant 16weeks can it harm baby?

Normal: It's normal to feel overly emotional and sensitive when you're pregnant. I remember crying at dumb tv commercials when i was pregnant. Feeling sad all the time, however, isn't normal. Medications may be needed. It is better to have a good mind and be on meds, instead of being psychologically impaired due to trying to avoid meds. ...Read more

It : It sounds like she needs to seek help from a mental health professional. She may be vomiting more frequetly than you know. If this is the case, she may be suffering from bulimia, or severe anxiety disorder. On the other hand the vomiting could be due to acid reflux disease or another gastrointestinal issue. My recommendation is that she see a therapist or psychiatrist and a primary care physician for a physical. I hope she is better soon. ...Read more
