I have a tilted cervix is there a good position to try to get pregnant or should I just do the normal sex positions? Also when is the best time totry

Sex position: There was a time in gynecologic history where we would do surgery to bring the uterus and cervix in an up-right position thinking that would make the woman conceive more readily in a missionary position. We don't do this surgery any more, because we now think that sex position does not make a difference in a woman's capability to conceive. ...Read more

Should a womans cervix feel a certain way when checking for early pregnancy signs?

Myths: No. Please review your health class lessons. A fetus is not connected to its mother for about fourteen days after conception. The mother's body has no symptoms from pregnancy until this time when the fetus is big enough to be sharing blood and chemicals with her. True early pregnancy is symptom free. Monitoring the cervix is a complete waste of time and energy! ...Read more

Is it more likely for your cervix to thin and dilate quicker with 4 pregnancy? First 3 all normal and successful

Good question: That's such a good question, and the answer is complicated. In my experience, women who had a lot of deliveries oftentimes the cervix will be the same for weeks on end and then will change suddenly. That is, labor when it comes causes rapid changes to the cervix. I'm like a woman's first delivery where the change is more methodical. ...Read more

My cervix feels different in this pregnancy than my last one is that normal, it feels at a different angle and higher up?

My cervix feels different in this pregnancy than my last one is that normal, it feels at a different angle and higher up?

Not unusual: With subsequent pregnancies, it is not unusual to "feel" things differently. This might even be related to fetal position - if the fetus is breech, women often report different sensations in the vaginal area. In the absence of bleeding, pressure or increased discharge, though, I would consider this a normal report. ...Read more

Best: 10/8/14: If your periods are regular, 28 days apart, the BEST day to test is the date of your expected next period: 10/8. If a woman has had HPV (cervix cancer) and has had two acid washes can she still get pregnant? 35 yr old

Treating: Treating cervical warts with acid does not affect your fertility. The only possible issue could be that it could weaken your cervix leading to incompetence during a pregnancy, meaning that your cervix may be two weak to sustain the pressure of the pregnancy and could lead to miscarriage or preterm labor. This is a small risk, but something that your ob/gyn needs to know once you find out you are pregnant. If this ever poses a threat there are treatments that can be done to get you through a pregnancy. Just know there is only a small risk of this happening, but it is always good to be informed.
All the best. ...Read more
