According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. All: All of the above symptoms you described are common at your stage of pregnancy. However, my rule of thumb for any pregnant patient is to contact your ob/gyn if you have any concerns, even the slightest. You can call your doctor's office 24/7 and there will always be someone on call to take your call. If you have any of the following signs of preterm labor present to OB triage right away: contractions that occur every 10 min. Or more frequently leakage of fluid or blood from your vagina increase in pelvic pressure intense backache cramps (like your period) best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy! ...Read more

Need more info.: If I had to guess, the pain is likely related to her exercise regimen. However, significant information is missing. What type (s) of exercise and how many hours of week does she exercise? Is the pain associated with her exercise program or general level of activity? How intense is it? Does it interfere with her normal activities? It would help for her to do a live consult with Healthtap. ...Read more

Occasionally,: There can be variations to your menstrual cycle. Normal could be every 21 to 35 days. If you have a negative pregnancy test, start keeping a menstrual diary. If your cycles continue to be irregular for the next 4 to 6 months, or if you have not had a period x 3 months (assuming you had prior monthly cycles), then seek advice from your doctor. 7dpo and having bad stretching aching pains in lower back and right side of pelvis. Is this normal? Is this a sign of pregnancy? If yes will b my 4th

A little early: 7 days post ovulation is a little early to suspect that any symptoms you are having are the result of pregnancy. One way to tell is to check a home pregnancy test. If negative then this implies that the hormone levels are too low for detection. If there are no detectable hormonal changes then the symptoms are not caused by that. A better time to take a test is if you miss your next period. ...Read more

I'm a 20 y/o female have a one yr old and I have small spider hard to see spider viens on bth outter thighs. Is it normal if one is sore? And aches

Derm. Dr. can check: A dermatologist (skin doctor) can look at a person's spider veins to see if that is really what they are. Dermatologists may be able to get rid of spider veins with a laser. It sounds odd that a spider vein should hurt (the doctor can also check to be sure it is not a skin cancer with blood vessels flowing to it). ...Read more

Started working out daily w/ 30 mins of zumba. Feel good, less stressed but quite sore esp in thighs. Is it normal? Is it ok to continue the workoits?

OK, however...: Congratulations! This is not unusual as you are using muscles more and in new ways. But because of the soreness you may benefit by backing off a bit, perhaps doing this every other day until the pain lessens. It's possible whey protein powder may help but look for one from grass-fed cows processed with low heat such as Whey Cool. Homeopathic Arnica, both sublingual and topically, may also help. ...Read more
