Is it normal for my period to be lasting ten plus days?

Not normal, but?: A ten day flow is not usually normal but doesn't have to be alarming. You don't state how heavy the flow is or any other characteristics or problems. You may have had an an-ovulatory cycle. There may be other reasons. Medications? Illness? Missed pills? If it continues or if there are other concerns or problems, call or see your pcp/gyn and get examined and treated. Pregnancy/miscarriage? ...Read more

Hi. : Hi. Cannot diagnose the reason your period stopped. However, if it stopped after you began doing workout insanity with two extra hours per day of physical activity, that could be causitive. If your body is not used to a high level of exercise, the stress could be impacting your menses. Over-exercising and rapid weight loss are also possible reasons for lack of your period. If you were previously deconditioned and began an intensive work out program, you may need to take breaks on certain days or decrease on the aggressiveness of your program. If you were losing weight rapidly, this may need to slow. Also, if you have been sweating, moving a lot, and losing weight, your body may be detoxifying, which might also impact your health. Make sure you get in at least 8 -8 oz glasses of water per day. Give your doctor a call if this doesn't turn around. Take care. ...Read more

Anything is possible: The only way to know, is to know the date of your ovulation, not just the length of your cycle. There are too many variables otherwise. If you are truly positive that you ovulated on day 15 or 16, then it is unlikely that you would be able to become pregnant on day 23. ...Read more
