Lactogenesis: Milk production occurs during two stages during pregnancy. Stage I happens during the second haft of pregnancy and produce small amount of milk. Check Prolactin : You may have galactorrhea (milk production) when not pregnant/nursing caused by an excess of the hormone, prolactin. A simple blood test can confirm.
