Is It Normal For A 23 Year Old Female If Suddenly One Of The Breasts Is Getting Slightly Bigger Than The Other
Hi I am a 26 year old female. People notice that my chest caves in and my breast is not normal. One is bigger then the other and they are small. Why is that
You are likely dealing with a congenital problem (meaning you were born with it) called pectus excavatum. This is a condition in which a the breastbone is sunken into the chest, giving it a caved in appearance. There are varying degress of this. Your doctor may wish to an an x-ray or other imaging studies in order to assure there is no damage or impending damage to your organs. If so, surgery may be recommended.
As far as your breasts are concerned, small breasts are not related and are based on genetics. Also one breast being bigger than the other is a common occurrence. Surgery is also an option.
Best of luck. ...Read more

If: If a patient has spotting and the symptoms described, and there is any possibility of pregnancy, then a pregnancy test should be checked. Sometimes other hormonal fluctuations (from physical stress on the body, weight (too high or too low)) can cause abnormal spotting. Perimenopausal patients get spotting at times though 41 would be considered very young for that. If spotting continued of the patient had other symptoms, then the patient should see their provider for an evaluation, and also to be sure that their pap is up to date. ...Read more
I'm a 16 year old female and I'm wondering if it's normal to have hair on your breasts? About 1/2 inch thread like hairs that increase around areole
Yes: People get hairs on and near their nipples. People are also free to yank the hairs out, if bothered by the hairs. They usually grow back again, and have to be plucked again. If a girl or woman thinks she is getting too much body hair, compared to her friends and classmates, she can see her primary care doctor to make sure all is well. ...Read more

Is it normal if the breasts of a 17 year old girl get smaller? Bra size used to be 34c now is 32c or 32b within a few months. No weight loss or gain.
It can be...: Without any other symptoms or information, this is likely normal. Body fat distribution (not just total mass) is determined by a very complex interplay between hormones that are very actively changing before, during and after puberty. So as the body changes/matures, the body fat (aka adipose) distribution may also change. If you're worried, though, go see your doctor, they can help. ...Read more
Why does one of my breasts sag more than the other? Could this be related to breast cancer? 33 year old female.
Not certain cancer.: The left and right sides of our bodies are never perfectly symmetrical so the fact that the breasts are not mirror images of each other is not concerning. However, if you're saying that one of your breasts looks different than it usually would look, then you would really need an investigation including an exam and mammogram at least. ...Read more

If: If your breast cancer was estrogen receptor-negative then you will not benefit from hormonal adjuvant therapy like tamoxifen (actually women who are past their menopause should be on Arimidex (anastrozole) not tamoxifen) either way you will not benefit from those since your mass is estrogen receptor negative. At 67 you should probably still get radiation as you still have a long life ahead of you...Especially with stage 1 cancer. You have to discuss these options with a breast surgeon... ...Read more

Why is one breast bigger than the other? How can I get them the same w/out surgery? Why are my nipples numb? I'm a 19yr. Old female&i just ended my period.
Uneven is common: Since you are only 19, your breasts are probably still developing. It is common for our breasts to develop unevenly. It is normal...: ....For there to be some asymmetry of the breasts. Numb means without feeling. If you touch your nipples and you can feel yourself touching them, they are not numb. Acid reflux rebounded after one ounce of neocate mixed with 3 ounces of breast milk. Is this normal? How long does it get worse before it gets better (8 week old on neocate for milk protein allergy).
Vomiting not reflux: If your infant is truly cow's milk protein allergic & tolerated neocate & then vomited when breast milk was added the cause is likely an allergen in your breast milk (bm). Dairy in mom's diet almost always enters bm. This is a normal process & not "leaky gut". It's possible that your infant has other food allergies to other foods in your bm. Common culprits are egg, soy, and wheat. ...Read more
34 yr old female. With twitching on left breast pain under it very gassy. 1 ekg showed enlarged left atrial. 2nd one two days later was normal.?
Not to worry:
It is the underlying pectoral muscle that is twitching. It is not your heart nor your breast. Most muscle twitches in that region are benign and go away on their own.
One EKG that was read as "possible" left atrial enlargement followed by a normal EKG would not worry me. Ask the ordering doctor if he/she is concerned. ...Read more
Am a 23 year old female I weight170 pound two day am experiencing pain in the left side of my chest more like in the breast could sign of heart attack?
Yes but not likley: Chest pain can be from heart but in your case this would be less likely given age. Other possibilities would be pulmonary embolus (blood clot in lung), this is usually with shortness of breath, but not always. Also esophogeal reflux/spasm. Also, musculoskeletal causes are the most common. If it gets worse, or doesn't go away, or is with shortness of breath, seek immediate help. ...Read more
I'm a 23 year-old female with a painful hard vein in my armpit. Why could this be and what can I do about it? Could this have to do with breastfeeding even though the painful vein is a good distance from the breasts?
In: In a patient who is actively breast feading a palpable lump or cord can be indicative of a clogged duct. This condition is treatable by your physician or lactation consultant. However, if there is an identifiable "vein", your assessment may be correct. Regardless, you should report this to your primary doctor or your ob/gyn physician. Depending on their assessment, an ultrasound can be very helpful to futher evaluate whether it is a vascular issue or breast duct issue. ...Read more
