I often ride bike intensely home ~1 hr before bed & eat a snack, yet i usually wake up 2-3 hours into sleep (3-5 am)& eat chocolate, nuts, & fruit while in a semi-awake state. What could be the issue?

Am taking Niaspan (niacin). The insert says to take with a low fat snack before bed. I normally eat 1.5 cups of nuts before bed, this is fats. Is it problem?
May not be an issue: the recent data on niaspan was not great,. The drug did not significantly reduce mortality or morbidity. I suggest if your not taking the niacin for some other reason , stopping the medication and discontinue the eating before bed. of course check with your doctor before starting or stopping any of your medications. ...Read more
